Position OverviewAs an Overnight Pack Leader, you are responsible for the safety, cleanliness, supervision, and care of all dogs staying overnight at DOGMA. This position combines overnight responsibilities with daytime Pack Leader duties to ensure consistency in care, familiarity with the dogs, and integration with the team.DOGMA operates as a cage-free daycare and boarding facility, which means dogs spend the majority of their time in open social groups. Overnight Pack Leaders play a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment while ensuring each dog’s physical and emotional needs are met.This position requires a minimum of:
- Two (2) overnight availability nights per week
- One (1) daytime Pack Leader availability day per week
- One (1) designated on-call overnight day per week, which may or may not require reporting to work
The daytime Pack Leader shift requirement is essential to help Overnight Pack Leaders build familiarity with the dogs, understand pack dynamics, maintain team communication, and stay aligned with daily operational procedures.The DOGMA OpportunityDOGMA has built a strong and dedicated team since opening in 2016. Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork are essential qualities for this role.In addition to hourly compensation, DOGMA offers a commission program available to qualifying employees, providing opportunities for additional earnings.Core ResponsibilitiesOvernight Responsibilities
- Supervise all overnight boarding dogs
- Maintain a calm and safe overnight environment
- Perform regular wellness checks on all dogs
- Monitor for signs of illness, injury, stress, or behavioral concerns
- Follow emergency procedures when necessary
- Maintain detailed communication regarding overnight observations
- Complete overnight cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Ensure all dogs remain safe, comfortable, and secure throughout the night
- Prepare dogs for morning transitions and relief walks
Pack Leader Responsibilities
- Safely manage groups of dogs in open play environments
- Monitor dog behavior and interactions
- Prevent and de-escalate conflicts between dogs
- Maintain clean and sanitary playrooms
- Clean accidents immediately and thoroughly
- Feed dogs according to individual feeding instructions
- Administer approved medications and supplements as directed
- Conduct relief walks and potty breaks
- Monitor dog health and report concerns immediately
- Maintain playroom cleanliness and organization
- Follow all DOGMA safety and operational procedures
- Assist with opening and closing responsibilities as assigned
Facility Responsibilities
- Maintain facility cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Complete laundry and bedding tasks
- Refill cleaning supplies and report inventory needs
- Keep feeding areas clean and organized
- Ensure all crates, gates, and playroom equipment remain in proper condition
- Follow all opening, closing, and overnight checklists
Experience Requirements
- Minimum one (1) year of dog handling experience
- Experience supervising groups of dogs
- Experience walking dogs of varying sizes and temperaments
- Experience working in a daycare, boarding, shelter, veterinary, or similar animal care environment preferred
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to confidently manage multiple dogs simultaneously
- Strong understanding of dog body language and behavior
- Ability to maintain control of a dog group in a fast-paced environment
- Calm, patient, and professional demeanor
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to communicate effectively with managers and teammates
- Ability to perform physical work including standing, walking, lifting, cleaning, and handling dogs throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a busy, active environment
On-call shifts are designed to provide operational support when staffing adjustments are needed and may not always require reporting to work. Employees assigned to on-call shifts must remain available and reachable during the designated period.The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional care while ensuring the safety and well-being of every dog entrusted to DOGMA.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure front desk is tidy and has all necessary stationery and material
- Supervise and support staff, groomers pack leaders
- Schedule shifts
- Ensure timely and accurate customer service
- Handle complaints and specific customers requests
- Troubleshoot emergencies
- Monitor stock and order office supplies/grooming supplies/cleaning supplies
- Ensure company’s policies and security requirements are met
Skills:
- Proven work experience as a Front desk manager or Reception manager at dog daycare facilities
- Hands on experience with office machines
- Proficiency in English (oral and written)
- Knowledge of G-suite, google for work, Petexec a plus
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities
- Problem-solving skills
- High School diploma; additional certification is a plus
