Board Your Dog In NYC”

Daycare & Enrichment Programs
Our two story facility sports big windows to let your dogs take in New York’s hustle and bustle. Our staffers interact with pups and let dogs play with each other. During morning hours toys are introduced. We take each pup out for a 10 minute relief walk, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, weather permitting.
In the afternoons pups love to sun bathe while resting from a busy day of play and socializing. Crates are available for feedings and naps.
We offer daily activities. DOGMA believes that smart New York dogs need to be challenged and engaged. Our Agility Play Groups and other classes offer that and more.

DOGMA staff is rigorously vetted and trained
We pride ourselves that our employees know and love dogs. Our experienced staffers can sense each dog’s temperament and comfort level. Understanding the discerning New York client and their pups needs is DOGMA’s forte.

What to expect from DOGMA daycare:

Socialization
DOGMA pups get the opportunity to socialize and develop lasting friendships.
Our program aims to enrich your pups daycare experience.

Energy Levels
Dogs are grouped by temperament and/or size. Groups of like minded dogs make for a more fulfilling experience. We Recognize that not all dogs are the same or play the same.

Toys & Challenges
Unlike other daycares, where interactions and toys are discouraged. We carefully introduce toys throughout the day for a rich experience.

Outside Walks
Each pup gets to walk in a pack for a relief walk, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, weather permitting. Additional power walks are available upon request.

Treats, Puzzles & Kongs
Challenging a dog’s mind keeps them fulfilled and Engaged dogs are happy dogs!

Room with a view
Dogs love to lounge in front of our windows and take in New York City’s street life.

Pack Leaders
Our human pack leaders are true dog lovers. DOGMA is proud to have experienced and trained pack leaders. We treat each dog as if it were our own.
Play & Pause
We promote safe play with each dog. If a pup does not self regulate, our staff will suggest a break from play, a private walk outside or perhaps a nap.
Crate Free Space
DOGMA is a crate free environment, unless dogs are being fed or need a private nap for some downtime. Additional crating services are available upon request.

2 Hour Power Walk (Mon & Thur, 11am-1PM)
This invigorating walk along the river is DOGMA’s signature power walk. No matter the breed, pups love getting into the zone, while walking together. Our walking staff bring treats and water along to make sure the pups are hydrated. This walk takes place Mondays and Thursdays from 10am to 12pm.
We observed that the first 15 minutes of walking the pups like to engage in a sniff & walk to stimulate their olfactory senses. They usually also do their business then. After that it is off to the races with a scenic, invigorating walk along the river. At the turnaround point the dogs get a break with water and treats.
You can bring your pup for the walk only, or request to have your pup join when they are here for daycare/boarding.

Treadmill workout
Read all information regarding the Treadmill:
All dogs get walked. But some dogs need to run. This service offers your pup the opportunity to go on a full out run for as long as they want.
Our dedicated staffer will gently introduce your pup to the treadmill. This is a one on one session without any other dogs. The treadmill is non-motorized and only moves when your dog moves.
DOGMA started this service because we observed that active dogs require more activity than walks and play with other dogs. Just like humans, dogs that run have a more settled mind which in turn makes their day a richer experience.
Is it safe?
The treadmill non-motorized and powered by the dog only. When the dog starts walking / running the belt starts moving. There are no electronic motors part of the treadmill. If the dog decides to stand still or lay down they are free to do so. The second the dog slows and/or stops the belt stops. There is one attendant dedicated to the treadmill the entire time. The dog will not be left alone as long as they are on the treadmill. Also, the treadmill can be slowed down by hand in case the dog is going too fast too soon. There are also mechanical breaks just like bike breaks that the attendant can use to slow down the belt.
How long should my pup be on it?
A session is thirty minutes long, but we are leaving it up to the dog to give us the signals if they are into it or not. If this the first time, the attendant will use toys or a treat to cajole the dog to move forward.
Can any dog do the treadmill?
Yes. Any dog that walks and/or runs can use the treadmill. Any size dog can do it. From a little frenchie, chihuahua to a German Shepard, Husky or Samoyed. Australian Shepherds and other working dogs love the mill.
When is the Treadmill available?
Every morning your pup can jump on the treadmill. Spots are available from 10am-12pm
