CEO and Founder
Jun was born in Tokyo, a 6th-generation Eddoko (as those born and raised in Tokyo, formerly Edo, call themselves). She spent the first ten years of her life there, the daughter of a family that loved art and travel. It was in Tokyo that she fell in love with her first dog, a miniature poodle named Liz. At 10 Jun moved to Paris, where, thanks to her entrepreneur father’s many creative friends, she was immersed in the worlds of fashion, art and photography.
If Japan, with its refined aesthetics and reverence for technique, inspired in Jun an appreciation for craftsmanship, Paris taught her the nobility of exceptional service. She experienced firsthand the pride and satisfaction of people—waiters sommeliers, hoteliers--for whom service was a chosen profession.
At 17, the free-spirited teenager moved on her own to Northern California and, following in the steps of other women in her family, became a hair stylist. The deep satisfaction Jun found in taking care of her clients—understanding their needs, anticipating their requests and ultimately finding solutions that brought them happiness—helped make her a sought-after talent. Eventually she moved to the East Coast and, after 10 years in Hudson Square, she now lives in the West Village with her two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Koharu and Koyuki.

Why Holistic Dog Training?
A happy, healthy dog begins with the puppy parent from day one. A well-mannered dog does not pull on a leash, whine or bark when separated from the owner and gets along well with other dogs and people across multiple environments. We know this does not always happen and behavior changes over time. At DOGMA we partner with you to match your dog's needs and wants. We make your home pet friendly, balance their diet, and create playtime routines.
What can I expect?
Whatever your concern is with your pup, you will have the tools and solutions by the end of the training. At DOGMA an all-encompassing and comprehensive approach to dog training is vital to address the needs of your pup. After the four sessions you will have the tools to continue and implement the learnings of your training with your pup.
Four (3) comprehensive sessions of up to 90 minutes.
The cost of four sessions is $750 payable before the training starts. Paid via your account with DOGMA.
Depending on your dog’s needs, the trainer will meet with you and your dog at your home, in the park, at DOGMA.
Most importantly: You and any other parent or household member is required to actively participate for maximum results. It is vital that you and your household consistently implement your learnings and corrections.
DOGMA offers this amazing opportunity for any pup to resocialize with other dogs and learn new tricks and commands. It is designed for the pups of New York City.
The Agility Playgroup is two hours long. Please check with DOGMA for exact times.
The Agility Playgroups provide structured play time with experienced handlers. This environment allows dogs to socialize with other dogs and humans. Learn new things to do. Like going through a course and hoops. Going through a tunnel, searching for treats. Learn to play fetch. These different tactile experiences enhances the dogs play time while also learning and seeing other dogs doing them.
